21 things you need to survive life
Broke and with no clue of what the hell to do in your life. All your plans, goals, your ideas, dreams and projects and aspirations are just a blurred mirage in an endless desert of hope. All you do now is freak out about your future, your relationships and your career…in case you already have one. But let me tell you something. Going through a quarter life crisis is not a bad thing at all. When you find yourself questioning your life decisions, your purpose, your passion and your entire personal world, you are expressing your eagerness to grow, learn new things and live an exciting life.
IT IS never too late to dominate life. Can't cook? Can't change a tyre? Can't get out of a bad date? Here are the things you should know by now. Don't be a disaster like Holly Golightly. ONE day you look around your studio apartment and realise you are of an age when you probably should be able to take care of your person.
Our bodies are incredible machines capable of much more than we give them credit for. There are 5 basic needs our bodies require to survive:. Oxygen in one of the most essential human needs. Our bodies need a consistent supply of it to function properly. Without access to oxygen, you can experience a condition know as cerebral hypoxia which affects our brains. As little as 5 min without air can result in brain damage, and after 15 minutes, the brain damage can be so severe that most people will not recover. This is the body's greatest need.
If you plan for and meet these 5 survival needs, you have a reasonable chance of surviving any scenario. The reason this thought exercise is worth doing is that sometimes getting prepared can become overwhelming… especially for those new to prepping. Unfortunately…for many, this equates to throwing in the towel and giving up. The two big exceptions being nuclear fallout and highly contagious airborne diseases , where the air is deadly to breathe. So for these scenarios get a gas mask , stay indoors, and avoid unnecessary interactions with others. We need a lot of water every day and a constant procurement of more for the long haul. So decide which option is best for you factoring in location, family size, etc.
What it takes to live comfortably depends on each individual. However, there are basic things every human needs to survive. Survival depends on physical and intangible elements that feed your body as well as your mind. Perhaps the most critical element to survival is oxygen that allows us to breathe. Whether your problem is lack of air, poor air quality or a physical condition that limits your lung capacity, you will likely suffer brain damage or die if your supply of oxygen is cut off for longer than three minutes. People who sufferer from emphysema or severe bronchitis can attest to this.
