Karl Pilkington The Moaning of Life Season 2 Episode 2
The Moaning of Life
Karl Pilkington once vowed to never act again , after appearing alongside Ricky Gervais in the series Derek. He later went a step further, vowing to retire from showbusiness entirely. Tonight, though, Sky One is launching Sick of It , Pilkington's first scripted sitcom in which he plays not one but two roles. So what lured the straight-talking Mancunian, a man with a mind quite unlike any other, out of self-imposed exile? And why exactly did he decide to give the acting another go? It's not what I naturally feel comfortable with.

The Moaning of Life is a British travel documentary comedy television series broadcast on Sky 1. It follows Karl Pilkington around the world as he visits other cultures. He also reassesses his life now that he has reached the age of 40, which he considers to be " middle age ". Sky1 postponed the fifth and final episode — "Death", which sees Pilkington in the Philippines contemplating death with locals — after Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines in early November A six-part second and final series was commissioned and premiered on 13 October Although Karl has been with his girlfriend Suzanne for 20 years, he has never felt a need to marry her.
Karl Pilkington is one of the funniest comedians out there. Whether or not he knows that he's funny or is simply expert-level good at pretending he doesn't is anyone's guess. Karl's been a bit quiet of late, with no new material since comedy-documentary series The Moaning of Life back in , but a new series has long been rumoured and - wait for it - the trailer is here! The new series, Sick of It , features not one Karl Pilkington but two, in dual roles as the show's main character and the voice of his interior monologue, constantly arguing with himself as he attempts to get over a breakup and make sense of the chaos around him. If the trailer is anything to go by, fans are in for a treat: it's hilarious, with just the right level of Karl's regular misanthropic, befuddled humour and his homespun, slightly confusing philosophical take on life. It's due to hit Sky One and NOW TV in the very near future - by the end of the year at least - and the trailer has certainly managed to get fans of his previous work licking their lips.
