The Son of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus, #2) by Rick RiordanPercy is confused. When he awoke from his long sleep, he didnt know much more than his name. His brain fuzz is lingering, even after the wolf Lupa told him he is a demigod and trained him to fight with the pen/sword in his pocket. Somehow Percy manages to make it to a camp for half-bloods, despite the fact that he has to keep killing monsters along the way. But the camp doesnt ring any bells with him. The only thing he can recall from his past is another name: Annabeth.
Hazel is supposed to be dead. When she lived before, she didnt do a very good job of it. Sure, she was an obedient daughter, even when her mother was possessed by greed. But that was the problem—when the Voice took over her mother and commanded Hazel to use her gift for an evil purpose, Hazel couldnt say no. Now because of her mistake, the future of the world is at risk. Hazel wishes she could ride away from it all on the stallion that appears in her dreams.
Frank is a klutz. His grandmother says he is descended from heroes and can be anything he wants to be, but he doesnt see it. He doesnt even know who his father is. He keeps hoping Apollo will claim him, because the only thing he is good at is archery—although not good enough to win camp war games. His bulky physique makes him feel like an ox, especially in front of Hazel, his closest friend at camp. He trusts her completely—enough to share the secret he holds close to his heart.
Beginning at the other camp for half-bloods and extending as far as the land beyond the gods, this breathtaking second installment of the Heroes of Olympus series introduces new demigods, revives fearsome monsters, and features other remarkable creatures, all destined to play a part in the Prophesy of Seven.

Sign in. Nine months after Percy Jackson's defense of Mount Olympus in The Last Olympian, Percy finds himself alone and on the run from monsters in southern California without his memories. Under the initial guidance of Lupa, the wolf-goddess and protector of ancient Rome, he makes his way toward Camp Jupiter, the Roman demigod training camp and counterpart to the Greek demigods' Camp Half-Blood. Upon arriving, he is attacked by several Gorgons — Stheno and Euryale — and successfully defends a disguised goddess Juno and the camp with the help of the guards on duty. Having been protected by Percy during the attack, Juno announces Percy's arrival with approval, identifying him as a son of Neptune. She tells him privately that he can only regain his memory by learning to be a hero again and successfully survive the challenges he encounters at camp.

Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea, storms, earthquakes, droughts, floods and horses. His Roman counterpart is Neptune. Poseidon in Percy Jackson's Greek Gods. Poseidon was finally released by Zeus during the final drinking competition that Kronos had with his Titanic brothers and nephews. Zeus poured an extremely powerful emetic made from nectar mixed with mustard into Kronos' goblet, which caused the Titan King to gorge all of the contents of his stomach, in reverse order of swallowing: first the boulder, then Poseidon, followed by Hades , Hera , Demeter , and Hestia. All of them had been growing undigested in Kronos' stomach, being gods. He also used powerful knockout potions on the rest of the titans so that they would not wake up before the gods could escape.
