By Florida Weekly Staff on July 26, After playing two gigs one day in July , George Chapman was driving home to Summerland Key when he closed his eyes for a second. The next thing he knew, he had rolled his car. George was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived in the Buckeye State for most of his life before moving to Key West several years ago. By the time he was 12, he was playing in a wedding band. I always had to get my dad or grandpa to help me haul my equipment.
Caffeine Carl & The Buzz band members are also in these bands:
March 15, A gentle giant, Carl plays directly from the heart.
Love the Tuna The stage is good and there is plenty of seating. We stayed and watched Scott Kirby play a 3 hour set and then had some dinner after. Randi at the bar was great The Mahi sandwich was really good for food at a "bar". The Tuna is a great place to just hang out and get away from it all.
They have very good live music and the food is outstanding. It can be very busy for the music. They also have a great gift store for some Key West souvenirs. It is just down a alley off Duval. Definitely make this one of the bars you stop at.
Looked at a few old posts and know the blues have been there, but thought some of you out there might know the best places to look for blues music in Key West? I second BellaDnna on the Green Parrot, best music on the island. Check out their webcam tonight, Damon Fowler is playing there. Outstanding blues guitarist from Tampa. Sometimes Hog's Breath has some good blues artists. But the Parrot is the best place for the blues that I have found. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
