It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.
While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
It's a play, it's written as a play, it is not a sequel book - do not confuse it for one. I'm serious, that was one of the number one complaints about this book, and it's not a fair one - cause it's clearly written in the description that it's a play script. It is my dream to be able to go see it on Broadway one day - and it was fascinating to find out the kind of people Harry, Hermione, and Ron had become - but it was also kind of sad. Adulting is hard. This play doesn't shy away from that - and being a son of a legend is also hard.
Harry Potter and the cursed child has been very real I like a lot of people have not yet seen the play but luckily all as Harry Potter fans still get a play script so today. I was very excited especially after the theater production has received such a rave review however I did go into the book with some skepticism because it's a play script and not a novel and sure I didn't enjoy it as much as the original seven Harry Potter Novels but I still loved reading hypotony cursed child. I honestly didn't think that Harry Potter And The Cursed Child was possible to enjoy reading a script this much before getting to the actual content I just want to say at the artwork on the front carpet is really really impressive and the spine looks great too that's really nice on a bookshelf now in terms of a layout of the book I was concerned that the dialogue based format of a script might be off-putting but surprisingly this wasn't an issue at all it took about two pages for me to get used to and I was absolutely fine now in terms of the plot I really don't want to say too much because I went into this story knowing nothing but the title on that it was set in 19 years later. I think that's how you should go into the story - the less you know the better but I will say that it was continually surprising and unpredictable also a lot happens very quickly there are two parts and four acts each of which is packed full of content so if you like a relentless narrative you definitely get one there's absolutely no filler which is partly because it's a play please don't have filler sections in the way that novels do and I also like the throw backs to the original series I can't talk too much about this because of spoilers it was very installed trick to experiencing these moments of the story now in terms of characters once again the book went beyond what I expected most notably the development of already familiar characters which I didn't anticipate. His youngest son, Albus, is going for the first time and is understandably nervous as to which House he will be chosen for. There are family dynamics creating difficulties as well as dark forces emerging once again. Readers be warned though — this is not a novel, this is a screenplay written by Jack Thorne based on a script that JK Rowling co-wrote with Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany. This story was meant to be acted like all plays and therefore lacks the depth and background fans are used to. Sian Cain, an editor for the Guardian , had the great good fortune of already seeing the play. But as a live experience, it is unique and incredible. An obsessive audience gasps at each of the reveals, cheers for the illusions, claps at the showdowns.
