Prym is a novel by the Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho. For almost fifteen years, old Berta had spent everyday sitting outside, watching over the little village Viscos , talking with her deceased husband. Old Berta is not entirely dynamic in character because there are no significant changed that can be observed from her aside from the occasional shifts in ideas like death. There was a part in the first part of the novel where she wanted to die and be with her husband but somewhere in the middle, when she was chosen to be the sacrifice, she decided that she wanted to live a bit longer. Miss Prym is a dynamic character in the sense that at the end of the story, she ended up in a different situation; she was wealthy and able to explore the world just like what she always dreamt of.
