Dead Mans Hand (Wild Cards, #7) by George R.R.

The book gets its name from the first story — The Old Man and his God. In this story Smt Sudha meets an old man who is blind and who lives with his old wife as caretaker of a Shiva Temple in a hamlet in Thanjavur,TamilNadu. Their wants and needs are minimum and a sense of contentment pervades their life. One should read the story of this simple couple who live a real life in this world full of un-realness. When I say India I also mean Indians and there ways too.
