Creative Visualization: Thoughts Create Reality
Thought power is the key to creating your reality. Everything you perceive in the physical world has its origin in the invisible, inner world of your thoughts and beliefs. To become the master of your destiny, you must learn to control the nature of your dominant, habitual thoughts. By doing so, you will be able to attract into your life that which you intend to have and experience as you come to know the Truth that your thoughts create your reality. For Every Outside Effect There is an Inner Cause: Every effect you see in your outside or physical world has a specific cause which has its origin in your inner or mental world. This is the essence of thought power. Put another way, the conditions and circumstances of your life are as a result of your collective thoughts and beliefs.
Thoughts and emotions are intricately related and can be experienced together, but they are distinct. Thoughts are mental cognitions—our ideas, opinions, and beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. They include the perspectives we bring to any situation or experience that color our point of view for better, worse, or neutral. An example of a long-lived thought is an attitude, which develops as thoughts are repeated over and over and reinforced. While thoughts are shaped by life experiences, genetics, and education, they are generally under conscious control. In other words, if you are aware of your thoughts and attitudes, you can choose to change them.
Many still believe that material and mental world are separate. We can certainly agree that the material world influences our thought, but how can our thinking influence material reality? These theories have influenced key concepts in the various scientific disciplines up to the present day. Descartes found himself in trouble when he was unable to apply his mechanical theory to human thought, because the variables in the functioning of the mind are too many to be subject to laws. At that point Descartes attested that the physical and objective world belongs to science since it is measurable, while the mind is assigned to the spiritual world and is object of study of religion. Basically, he created a philosophical system in which mind and matter did not belong to the same method of observation and investigation, separating the research aspects of their functioning for centuries. Isaac Newton, a British scientist, reinforced this belief by comparing the universe to a machine, as everything can be quantified.
