The clean part of the diet title refers to ridding your body of the nasty toxins that cling on to the fat leaving you with squishy bits of flesh around the thighs, hips and on your back, plus rolls of padding around the waist, not to mention that uncomfortable bloated tummy. James dedicates whole chapters of the book to the evils of sugar which will make uncomfortable reading for some — yes, I mean you with the pack of biscuits on your desk.
