Curriculum Construction by Laurie Brady

I read this book for a Primary Education course. Its an easy to read book that is well structured. As the title suggests it covers Curriculum Construction, focusing on Australia, and covers topics such as social contexts of curriculum, curriculum priorities, curriculum planning in schools, and assessment. The book does a great job of outlining succinctly what needs to be considered in curriculum construction. My only criticism of the book is the succinctness is provided at the cost of depth, I started to feel like each chapter read more like a short pamphlet that although providing context left me with no deeper understanding of the subject matter. If you are reading this book in a course then get another one that will cover certain topics in more depth.
