Walt Disneys 101 Dalmatians by Justine Korman FontesI remember having my mother and aunt read this to me before bed as a child, but I recently realized that I never actually picked up this storybook to read for myself.
I noticed on the very first page there is a turn of phrase that must be a mistake. It is phrased as though Anita and Roger Radcliff are the pets, when they are actually the owners of the Dalmatians, Once there were two Dalmatians named Pong and Perdita. They lived in a snug little house in London. Their pets, Anita and Roger Radcliff, lived with them. See what I mean? And there are little mistakes and turn of phrases like this that continue throughout the story that make you think that the story line is in Perdita and Pongos point of view, so that it seems like they are the owners of the humans. It got a little confusing having these little mishaps in the story.

Pongo is the male protagonist of the Disney animated feature film One Hundred and One Dalmatians. He is the mate of Perdita , the father of 15 Dalmatian puppies , and the adoptive father of 84 more puppies. Much like his owner, Roger, Pongo is laid-back, playful, and a tad goofy. Aside from this, he is extremely loyal, and actually took note of Roger's loneliness as a songwriting bachelor, thus making it his mission to find his good friend a suitable companion.
