For Positive Attitude and Success Have Firm Faith in God

A friend recently asked me how my back was. This led to a conversation about the healing power of positive thinking, and how proclaiming my pain-free present and future self could help actualise it. We had both recently read an article sharing empirical evidence of non-religious faith in healing Unlocking the Healing Power of You , National Geographic magazine, December , but something in me resisted blind faith, or lying to myself or him about the facts. That got me to thinking about faith, positive thinking, and honesty. When are positive words helpful, and when might they be self-delusions, or at worst, distractions from necessary interventions? The more I reflected, the more complex I realised faith and healing was.

God is the Supreme Being and the object of faith. Having faith in God means to truly believe in his promises and sayings and to act upon them without any hesitations. This gives you peace and rest. It removes all your doubts and gives you a genuinely optimistic attitude with a belief that God will handle everything. Believing in God is to be in love with God that gives you a strong belief that God loves you too and has your best interest at every point of time. This path of God can lead a man to positivity and success. It is often said that positive attitude can help let the life going great.

Positive thinking and faith are similar, but different. However, positive thinking is limited by the abilities of the individual. Faith has no limits because God has no.

The disciples of Jesus recounted what had taken place along the way, and how they had come to recognize him in the breaking of bread. While they were still speaking about this, he stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you. Then he said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.

Faith builds genuine trust in God. It means truly believing in his promises and acting upon them. When you do this God gives you rest. Resting in him brings great peace. Trusting in God and resting in him transforms your attitude. It squashes doubt and gives you a genuinely positive attitude because you know God can handle this.
