Simon Cowell's new X Factor all-stars format may already be encountering a bump in the road. Simon Cowell recently teased that he plans to introduce an all-star edition of The X Factor this year, and promised to bring back several much loved former contestants. However, the music mogul's grand plans look like they could be in jeopardy, as more than one of the show's most popular acts have reportedly ruled out getting involved. According to the Daily Star , show favourites One Direction and Little Mix are both already out of the running, due to their busy schedules. An insider told the publication: "Shortly after news broke that an all-stars series is in the pipeline, Little Mix were saying they won't be able to take part.
Malik's mother told Real Radio that her son had proposed at the weekend with Edwards wearing a diamond ring at the premiere of One Direction: This Is Us. A spokesman for Hackford Jones PR said: "Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private. Exciting news for Little Mix, One Direction and, er, everyone else who likes pop music fans - the ultimate X Factor bands will be performing on this weekend's show. The next live X Factor round has a Best of British theme - which is probably going to see Nicole Scherzinger doing a hilarious in her head accent for her comments.
