The Cute Book: Cute and Easy-to-Make Felt Mascot by Aranzi AronzoJust the thing I need to add to my craft shelf, as if I need more... I cant help myself... I have all this stuuuufff that I hate to throw away, and want to make use of. THIS is the PERFECT reuse recycle book for that. If youve got bags of old clothes that you just cant part with, or love love love, but couldnt put on unless you lost 300 pounds.. and want to pet and cuddle with loving memories of something sweet.
Make a lovey out of that scrappy thingy and put it in a place of glory, like on a pillow, top of a bed post, back of a couch, corner of a bookcase, or perched on the shoulder of a chair, so you can see it everyday.
This book will, with a bit of thread, and such, help you to remold that whatever it is into something wonderful, and amazing for you to cherish in a new way, and not sit in the bottom of a stinky plastic bag for you to drag it out every once in a while to say, damn I wish I could DO something with this... ( but NOT give it away cause I love it too much! )

There are handmade and personalized touches everywhere you look! A sign from Quax welcomes guests to the party, and gable boxes filled with party favors are displayed beneath. The Tootsie Pop tree centerpiece is homemade more on that to come! Sock monkeys and more sock monkeys! The banner above the table came from Amazon. To make them, she started with this basic Chocolate Cake Pops recipe. The buffet card is a DIY printable from my shop.
Of all the seasons, I think Fall invokes the most feelings. When you imagine Fall, vivid pictures enter your mind; colors, foods, objects, the smell in the air, the feel of the chilly breezes. Everything just seems so rusty and burnt orange, so soft and cozy, like we can relate to the hibernating animals, innately knowing it's time to wrap up the outside life and prepare for the season of being indoors with our blankets, slippers and hot tea. That Fall scent is in the air here in Northern Utah and it give me all the feels. I wish it could last a big longer before Winter hits and the true hibernation begins, but in the mean time, I will start some Fall sewing projects and share my top five Fall weekend sewing ideas here with you, in case you feel the need to sew something cozy too.
Sock monkeys are a classic and super adorable project. They are also simple to create and make great gifts. If you are making these as a gift for a young child remember to use child safe snaps instead of buttons, or no buttons at all you could use a small piece of fabric or felt for the eyes. And once you've mastered the fine art of the sock monkey you can make slight variations on this pattern to create some little friends-like this cute raccoon! Supplies: two long thick socks, needle and thread, scissors, two black buttons, polyester plush.
