Bible Verses On Arguing - Scriptures On Arguing (Audio Bible)
A fool is someone who is unwise, lacks sense, and lacks judgement. They laugh at the truth and turn their eyes away from the truth. Fools are wise in their own eyes failing to take in wisdom and advice, which will be their downfall. They suppress the truth by their unrighteousness. They have wickedness in their hearts, they are lazy, proud, they slander others, and live in repeat foolishness.
Proverbs The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with. Judges And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? New International Version Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. English Standard Version Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Berean Study Bible Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be like him.
Christians are to be loving, kind, humble, and respectful to others. The only time a Christian should argue is when defending the faith against false teachers and others. We must be careful because sometimes we will get into discussions with others and we might get insulted because of our faith. We should continue to be loving, follow the examples of Christ, remain calm, and turn the other cheek. Philippians Do everything without complaining and arguing. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen.
Why should God let you into Heaven?
What does the Bible say about? If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
