Islam BooksIslam (الإسلام, al-ʾIslām) is a monotheistic and Abrahamic religion articulated by the Quran, a religious text considered by its adherents to be the verbatim word of God (Allāh), and, for the vast majority of adherents, by the teachings and normative example (called the sunnah, composed of accounts called hadith) of Muhammad (c. 570–8 June 632 CE), considered by most of them to be the last prophet of God. An adherent of Islam is called a Muslim (sometimes spelled Moslem). Muslims believe that God is one and incomparable and that the purpose of existence is to worship God.

Shade 7 is proud to announce their charity partnership with Islamic Relief UK to offer you a chance to make a real difference in their Water for Life campaign. Parents will also enjoy teaching their children the names of the body parts in this interactive and fun way to learn all about wudu through play:. Water is essential to life. Clean water is vital for drinking, growing food and keeping clean. A person can only survive on average three days without water, and if the water they have is dirty and contaminated, fatal diseases spread quickly and the effects are devastating. Hadith have been called "the backbone" of Islamic civilization, and within that religion the authority of hadith as a source for religious law and moral guidance ranks second only to that of the Qur'an which Muslims hold to be the word of Allah revealed to his messenger Muhammad. Scriptural authority for hadith comes from the Quran which enjoins Muslims to emulate Muhammad and obey his judgments in verses such as , While the number of verses pertaining to law in the Quran is relatively few, hadith give direction on everything from details of religious obligations such as Ghusl or Wudu , ablutions for salat prayer , to the correct forms of salutations and the importance of benevolence to slaves. Hadith were not written down by Muhammad's followers immediately after his death but several generations later when they were collected, collated and compiled into a great corpus of Islamic literature. Because some hadith include questionable and even contradictory statements, the authentication of hadith became a major field of study in Islam. Among some scholars of Sunni Islam the term hadith may include not only the words, advice, practices, etc.
