Overwhelmed: Winning the War Against Worry by Perry Noble
Stressed out? Anxious? Overwhelmed? Good news--youre not alone! No one ever said life was going to be easy. Between financial struggles, marital issues, health scares, and the regular, run-of-the-mill problems of everyday life, its easy to feel weighed down and trapped by your circumstances. In times like these, its tempting to just throw in the towel and quit. Well, dont do it!
Perry Noble has stood at the edge of the abyss himself, and in Overwhelmed, he shares the keys to unlocking the chains of anxiety and despair once and for all. Building on the premise that when we shift our focus from our circumstances to Christ, everything changes, Perry walks readers through a life-altering plan for overcoming stress, worry, depression, and anxiety so we can be free to enjoy the abundant, joy-filled lives we were created for.
God knows were frustrated. He knows were tired. He knows were struggling. But He also knows how things are going to turn out. He is greater than anything you are going through . . . so dont give up on God. After all, Hes never given up on you.

NewSpring rarely links to other blogs, so this appears to be a careful choice to advertise the virtues of their church and pastor. Perhaps this is a clue that a church has grown too large and a pastor too remote. Just to say thank you. After bantering back and forth with Perry, James McDonald looked to the four pastors Steven Furtick, Matt Chandler, David Platt and Greg Laurie sitting behind him and asked if any of them would play that song in their church. Of the six other pastors in the room, not one of them said they would have played that song.
The song was meant as a way of encouraging unchurched visitors to let their guard down, but Noble is now second guessing whether it was such a good idea to use this track alone. What would he do instead?

Boom goes the dynamite. This reaction will be classic. Well said Phil. The answer to your question of what kind of fruit will we have left is the same bad fruit in Perry we had to begin with. Terribly Bad. Exceptional response! And no you aren't the only one who was troubled by James' comparison of the issue with Noble to scripture reconciliation.
