Romans: The Greatest Letter Ever Written by John Piper

This 153 hrs and 59 mins exposition of the book of Romans by John Piper is a work of greatness of which I stand in awe.

Piper exposits with great wisdom, humor, and deep seriousness the weighty and technical writing of the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans.

To say that this affected my life would be an understatement. Going through this study - now for the second time - caused a singularity in my existence, saving my marriage, and possibly my life.

If you are even considering listening to this series, do - study it, prove it or disprove it to yourself and listen to the end. I cannot recommend it enough.

Then there are some who say that Paul is speaking as an Old Covenant believer who had not yet experienced the full outpouring of the Spirit, which he would come to in Rom. Here are his 10 reasons with abbreviated explanations :. I do the very thing I do not want.

As we trek onward through this amazing work of Paul we should stop a moment and look back to see where we have come from. We see as we glance backward that all mankind is sinful, all mankind has some level of truth…they know that there is a God and that God has certain righteous demands, and all mankind suppresses that truth because of sin. We saw together that Paul has something that all sinners need.
