The Progressive format, aka The Round Robin format, is commonly used at fund raisers and social events. It is also seen in completive tournaments. It is popular because after every round the partnership will change. By alternating partners, this format provides an opportunity to make new friends or reunite with old pals. Euchre Score Sheet
The WSoE was a national tournament that ran up until Joe is now sharing this with the euchre community. This style works best for completive events. Teams all play the same number of rounds and there are provisions for uneven teams. The winners are determined by total amount of Games won.
